Hot air gun
8 steps to replace the pump.
- Remove the toilet paper and the paper holder. The pump is located under the holder.
- Loosen the screw on the holder and remove the entire pump. Disconnect the hose. NOTE: Cartridges manufactured between 1987 and 1989 have two black connectors on the white cable. If this is the case, remove both black connectors.
- Cut the cable above the pump.
- Expose the blue and brown wires.
- Attach the pump holder and heat shrink tubing to the new pump. Connect the wires (blue-blue / brown-brown).
- Slide the shrink tubing over the wires and melt them together. This is important because the pump comes into contact with water inside.
- Reconnect the flush hose and screw the pump back in place.
- Reattach the holder and toilet paper.
