Secure your rooftop tent in all weather conditions To keep your rooftop tent stable and secure in both rain and wind, we recommend using tie-downs to level the floor and stretch the tent fabric. Here’s how to use them:
- Thread a tie-down through your car's rim or around a stable peg in the ground.
- Then, fasten the tie-down around the top ladder rung of the tent ladder and tighten it.
- Adjust until the tent floor is level and the fabric is fully stretched.
To achieve a level and smooth floor, you can also adjust the ladder’s base and move it further from the car. If the ground is soft or slippery, you can pull a tie-down from one corner to the bottom ladder rung to keep the ladder in place. Our tie-downs are wide and equipped with a protected metal buckle to prevent scratches on your car. Sold in sets of 2.
