Aero Platinum and Grand Aero Platinum wing mirrors have an innovative new design, specially developed to securely adapt to the narrowing mirror frames found on an increasing number of car models. One of the key features of the wing mirror is the new flexible, rubber-coated, stainless steel, and spring-loaded gripping plates. They are more than 50% larger than the standard on Milenco Aero 3. The design allows the gripping arm to ""mould"" itself to the vehicle's mirror mount, which increases the contact area, improves grip, and stabilises the wing mirror. The platinum clamp has also been enlarged and can now accommodate car mirror frames up to 25 mm thick. The thicker arm of the wing mirror offers more stability and sufficient reach for use on caravans up to 2.55 m wide.
