Advantages of Electric Support Legs
If the system is activated via the control panel, one can start the automatic levelling or retraction process. Everything is conveniently managed with a press of a button on the remote control.
Safety
As a rule, the support legs can only be used with the handbrake engaged. If the handbrake is released while the supports are in use or the ignition is on, a warning signal will sound, allowing the support legs to be retracted before the vehicle is driven. If the power supply were to fail for any reason, the AutoLift system can be manually retracted and extended.
Easy to Install
The delivery includes support legs, pre-wired central unit, control unit, remote control, and cables. Thanks to the included extension parts, the length of the support legs can be adjusted from 300 mm up to a maximum of 420 mm in small increments. The adjustment length remains constant at 180 mm.
The Advantages of a Mechanical System
Tesa is the only manufacturer in Europe that produces an electric mechanical support leg system. The difference between a mechanical system and a hydraulic system is the weight of the vehicle. The Autolift system is suitable for vehicles up to 5 tonnes, while some hydraulic systems can also lift heavy trucks. Most motorhomes and caravans have a lower weight, making a mechanical system the optimal solution.
- A mechanical system does not rely on oil and therefore requires no maintenance.
- Mechanical systems do not operate with oil and are therefore suitable for extreme temperatures.
- Hydraulic systems are more affected by lateral pressure than mechanical systems.
- Mechanical systems do not suffer from small dust particles in the system.
- Mechanical systems do not lose pressure when under pressure for an extended period or when oil is insufficient.
The need to move levelling blocks or support stands is eliminated. The support legs are galvanised for long durability and equipped with waterproof motors. The Tesa-AutoLift system is available in a version with two support legs or with four support legs for even more control and comfort. The Tesa-AutoLift system can be retrofitted to all common vehicle chassis (approximately 34 cm of ground clearance must be available). With the Tesa-AutoLift set with four support legs, one achieves full comfort over the motorhome. Each individual support leg has a lifting capacity of 2500 kg. Thanks to the control function of the four support legs, the system can automatically or manually adjust the vehicle to a horizontal position. The automatic function does not work with only 2 support legs. Regardless of which mode is selected, the vehicle will quickly be stable and level, provided the ground is not too uneven. The Tesa-AutoLift system is suitable for vehicles up to a maximum weight of 5 tonnes.
