Are you looking for a roof hatch outside standard dimensions? We have quality brands from Dometic, Maxxfan, and Carbest. In older cars and caravans, there may be roof hatches with very unique measurements. It can be difficult to find a roof hatch in the same size as they are no longer manufactured in most cases, you will have to cut the hole in the roof to the nearest standard size. How do I know what size my existing roof hatch is? No problem, read below!
Do you need to replace your old roof hatch? Measure the mounting hole and roof thickness where your existing roof hatch is installed. Start by removing the lower frame. Then you can easily measure the widths of the mounting hole and the roof thickness. You measure the roof thickness from the bottom edge of the inner ceiling to the top edge of the outer roof. With these measurements, you can easily navigate to a suitable hatch. Unfortunately, we do not have a register where we can see what type of roof hatch is installed on your motorhome or caravan.
Please note that all our roof hatches are measured based on the mounting hole the cover and lower frame are larger.
